The Museum of the American Revolution opened in Philadelphia in 2017, and the “rock star” of the museum, according to The New York Times, is George Washington’s field tent. Competing demands for viewing, combined with the hard restrictions on lighting output, led to a museum staff that was skeptical the exhibit could happen without damaging the tent.
