Description

The Bavarian State Opera (Bayerische Staatsoper) uses several SolaFrame Theatre automated LED fixtures in their historic home at the National Theatre Munich. Resident lighting designer Michael Bauer praises the lights for their high output and reliability. Naturally, for an Opera that premiered works by Mozart, Wagner, and Strauss, light wasn’t the only concern. The opera also became devoted to the SolaFrame Theatre thanks to its silent operation. According to Bauer the fixture is “not quiet, but mute.” This is a crucial element in his design and he plans on expanding the Opera’s inventory of SolaFrame Theatre fixtures.

“I can use it half a meter from a spectator and they won’t hear it. It simply does not develop any noise.” – Michael Bauer, Resident Lighting Designer, Bavarian State Opera
